A digital storytelling platform bridging grassroots aspirations with policymakers.
WHY KATHAKITA EXISTS?
Amidst the rapid flow of information, grassroots narratives are often left behind by the digital divide and merely become objects of pseudo-participation. We are here to reclaim that space, ensuring every story is ethically documented and becomes a tangible foundation for advocacy.
Our holistic approach to democratizing public narrative spaces.
Producing and distributing citizen stories (photo essays, documentaries, articles) that evoke empathy and highlight systemic issues from the perspective of those experiencing them.
Collaborative academies and workshops. We equip youth and vulnerable communities with photography, writing, and media production skills so they can become storytellers for their own communities.
Turning stories into data. We compile participatory research and policy briefs to bridge grassroots voices directly to policymakers’ desks.
No real change happens without honest narratives. Submit your photo essays, short documentaries, or writings about issues in your community. Our team will help polish and advocate for it.
